Avash announced on Sunday that they were launching a Lyrics Hunt contest. Acclaimed musician Tanzir Tuhin, former vocalist of the popular Bangla rock band Shironamhin, has released a new song with his new band Avash. The third music video of the band, titled Bastob, was released on its official YouTube channel on Sunday.

The video was released during an official ceremony organized by the production company Platform on Sunday evening at AJ Tower in Kawran Bazar, Dhaka. During the ceremony, Avash announced that they were launching a Lyrics Hunt contest.

Platform will arrange the contest in co-operation with Avash. Anyone can submit their lyrics for the contest, which will be open for all from March 1.

Acclaimed lyricists and music composers Prince Mahmud and Tanvir Alam Sajib, serving as jurors, will then select the top ten songs from the submitted lyrics. Avash has already announced that the winning lyrics will be featured in their upcoming debut album.

In a press release, band members said: “Our goal is to encourage our fans to discover and nurture their hidden creative skills. We want to provide them an ideal platform to showcase their talent.”

The latest track Bastob was written by vocalist Tanzir Tuhin, who along with lead guitarist Sumon Monjurul, drummer Rinku Islam, bassist Raajue Sheikh, and keyboardist Shawon Kaium, is featured in the newly released video track.
